Possesive pronoums

Possessive pronouns are those pronouns that indicate ownership of something to some person. The pronoun replaces the name and in this case the noun, expresses the property of something.

Care must be taken not to confuse them with possessive adjectives. While possessive pronouns replace the object it refers to, possessive adjectives accompany the noun. For example: this is my book (este es mi libro) this is mine (este es mío).
